Lots of releases, few with major box office potential but the top spot could come down to Forgotten Island or Heart of the Beast with the animated film having the slightly better chance.

Wesley Lovell: A conventional-looking romance that doesn’t quite appeal.

Pete Patrick: Non-linear storytelling is difficult to pull off, and this seems to be one that doesn’t quite manage to do so.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like any romantic movie where life threatens to pull them apart.

Forgotten Island

Wesley Lovell: The trailers have been surprisingly dull but it looks like it could be fun.

Pete Patrick: This seems to be a major contender for Best Animated Feature.

Thomas La Tourrette: The best of the bunch, this probable Oscar nominee looks like it will be a fun buddy picture.

Heart of the Beast

Wesley Lovell: Survivalist/military drama that doesn’t look like it has much to offer.

Pete Patrick: It’s been a while since we’ve had a good one about a dog and his owner

Thomas La Tourrette: Except for showing a dog having PTSD, nothing about this film looks that different from any man versus wild movie.

Primetime

Wesley Lovell: Robert Pattison looks fantastic and the drama surrounding To Catch a Predator has a lot of potential.

Pete Patrick: Said to be an uncomfortable watch, I may see it anyway for Robert Pattinson’s acclaimed performance.

Thomas La Tourrette: I do not know the story of To Catch a Predator, though Robert Pattinson’s performance does look striking.

The Stunt Driver

Wesley Lovell: It could be ok and the trailer is interesting enough but I’m not entirely sold.

Pete Patrick: This craziness should have stayed in 1981 where it played out.

Thomas La Tourrette: Aside from Jay Baruchel’s performance, I am not certain that there is much to recommend this film.

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Of these, only The Incomer looks like something I might be interested in.

Pete Patrick: The Deputy and The Scout seem to be the most interesting of a lot of maybes this week.

Thomas La Tourrette: Your Mother… has the best reviews, but a trailer that does not excite. Ha-Chun, Shake Your Booty! and The Incomer might be fun, though both seem like they might be fairly slight comedies.
